A fast drying wood finish for ongoing care and maintenance of oiled and waxed timber flooring which is lightly worn, and is looking dull and lifeless. Available in matt, satin and anti-slip. A white transparent Maintenance Oil is also available for floors finished with one of Osmo’s white oils.

While this is an Osmo product, it is possible to use it over other oil and wax floor finishes, however a trial application is essential to determine suitability.

Maintenance Oil is also a renovation product. It’s timely use can prevent major sanding and renovation work. However, if the existing surface is badly scratched or worn, it should be lightly sanded and finished with one of the Osmo Polyx®-Oils, rather than use Maintenance Oil.

Maintenance Oil is especially recommended for high traffic areas such as restaurants and cafes etc.

Application is generally one coat applied very thinly. Application should be by low nap microfibre roller or Osmo’s floor brush. For small areas, a new paint brush or lint free cloth can be used for application.

Use of a slow speed buffing machine with white pad after application of the Maintenance Oil will help to give an even finish to the timber’s surface. However, we do not recommend using a buffing machine on a floor where Maintenance Oil Matt has been applied, otherwise the finish will end up being buffed to satin.
